Hosting Space to Listen Deeply

About Kathi

Kathi enjoys bringing two of her greatest passions together: teaching and spiritual formation. Her greatest joy is walking alongside others in their own spiritual journey, sharing ways of understanding God anew through contemplative prayer and teaching, and seeing them grow in the depth of their own understanding of who God is and who they are in their relationship with God.

As a spiritual director and supervisor, Kathi hosts a compassionate, contemplative, and evocative space. She trusts that the person being hosted has all the wisdom they need, and together they can listen to the Sacred Presence amid the journey. In a group space, all learn to do this type of three-way listening with one another, listening to self, God, and those around us.

Kathi lives in Newberg, Oregon, and enjoys learning, writing, walking in nature, and having leisurely conversations with people over coffee. She is a spiritual director, supervisor, writer, spiritual formation group facilitator, retreat speaker, and leadership mentor. One of her favorite things is walking alongside individuals and groups while witnessing the beauty of God, bringing forth a depth of vulnerability, both individually and communally.

Training

Kathi has completed a certificate in spiritual direction from Portland Seminary and a certificate in supervision training with Together in Mystery. She has completed a DMin in Leadership and Spiritual Formation from Portland Seminary and an M.Ed. from George Fox University.

Meeting Format: Direction is available either in person in Newberg, OR, virtually via Zoom, or over the phone.

Schedule:  Direction meetings are usually spread out with three weeks to a month in between to allow for processing on the journey.

If we already have a working relationship, please schedule a spiritual direction or supervision time using my calendar link. If we haven’t met, let’s set up a free 30-minute conversation to discuss the spiritual direction and see if we might be a good fit. I also know other spiritual directors who may have openings as well.
