Spiritual Direction

Individual Spiritual Direction

Spiritual direction is an ongoing relationship where two people sit together in God’s presence while listening for the movement of God in the directee’s life. We don’t try to come up with solutions to the struggles along the way but listen to what God has to say about living life in God's presence amid the struggles.

When we notice God amid life, space is created to respond and allow an experiential and intimate relationship to continue to grow. This deepening of our relationship with God impacts us and the world around us.

Group Spiritual Direction

There are times you may want to experience spiritual direction in community. There are a variety of ways to do this. If you have a group (3 or more) who want to meet together for spiritual direction, we can discuss some options. No matter which forms you choose, group spiritual direction involves everyone sharing honestly, listening to others’ sacred stories, and honoring paths that may be quite different from your own.

A Little About Our Time Together through Spiritual Direction

Focus in Our Meetings:  Direction times are centered on material or questions you bring. It is a time to reflect on and hold what God is doing in your life together in God’s presence. As we listen together, we hold the questions, wonderings, and noticings with the Sacred, trusting the One who is always with us and for us.

Schedule:  Direction meetings are usually spread out with three weeks to a month in between to allow for processing on the journey.

Referrals: Kathi and Lynn are not trained counselors, psychotherapists, or legal or financial advisors, so they will refer psychological, medical, and other such issues to qualified professionals.
