Training for Spiritual Direction & Supervision

Training

Are you discerning a call to become a spiritual director? Or maybe to walk alongside spiritual directors as a supervisor?

A lot of good material has been written about hosting space for others. Often, if this is a path you are considering, you’ve noticed how you already listen to others and are sought out by those who need to be hosted. Yet, a more profound way exists to listen to those who come and need to be held in a listening space.

Kathi and Lynn have been involved in the formation and training of spiritual directors and supervisors. They have brought a non-academic curriculum to the Companioning Center to make this type of training possible for those who either do not have an academic degree or do not desire one. In the small cohort-style training at the Center, each participant is invited to lean into their own journey through the spiritual formation courses and develop the skills and practice of holding space for others. Amid the spiritual formation courses, we not only learn about our own inner journeys but also how to walk alongside others in theirs. Credit can be given if you already come in with part of the training. If you would like more information, please check out the program at the Companioning Center and reach out to us to find out more information.

If you would prefer to engage in this training in an apprenticeship model, please reach out to discuss that type of opportunity.
